An independent advisory practice built for the seriousness of the moment.
Corvus Advisors was founded on the conviction that artificial intelligence will reshape regulated industries — and that institutions deserve counsel commensurate with the stakes.

Nicolas Guillen
Founder
Nicolas Guillen is the Founder of Corvus Advisors. He spent more than five years at Morgan Stanley, working across credit risk, regulatory compliance, and data readiness — a relationship that continued well beyond the seat. Across more than fifteen years in finance, risk, and entrepreneurship, his work has been defined by environments of regulatory scrutiny and operational complexity.
He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where his work focused on finance, strategy, and analytics. Earlier in his career, he co-founded BaseCap Analytics, a firm dedicated to data integrity for financial institutions, where he served as COO/CFO through its acquisition in 2026. Over that period he built more than fifteen institutional client relationships — direct exposure to the data, control, and adoption challenges that now define how institutions approach AI.
Nicolas founded Corvus Advisors to help senior leaders navigate AI decisions that are too consequential to delegate. He works directly with clients and, when appropriate, brings in a trusted network of senior specialists and execution partners across model risk, regulation, engineering, and operations.
Discretion
Engagements are conducted with the confidentiality senior leadership requires.
Rigor
Recommendations are grounded in evidence, governance, and operational reality.
Judgment
We say what we believe, not what is fashionable — including when AI is not the answer.
